How are you involved in changing the landscape of Utah’s business community in regard to inclusivity?

I’m proud to be the chair of Equality Utah’s board of directors and a founding member of L3Harris’ LGBTQ employee resource group. Equality Utah is the state’s premier LGBTQ advocacy organization. We’re constantly working to create a fair and just Utah by creating common ground with our neighbors and building bridges of understanding. L3Harris is dedicated to fostering an inclusive culture that values diversity and equity with a clear strategy to enhance our workplace environment. Our annual DE&I reports not only track our progress toward a workforce that is 50 percent women and at least one-third people of color but also serve as a catalyst for meaningful change.

What’s the biggest challenge you’ve had to overcome to get where you are today?

Overcoming imposter syndrome has been the greatest challenge in my personal development. I tend to fall into the trap of seeing other people as so much more capable than I am and telling myself I can’t succeed. I have been so fortunate to have mentors who believe in me and thrust me into leadership and challenging positions. To Main Page
