       Utah Manufacturers Association Recognizes Top Manufacturing Companies at Annual Awards Banquet

Murray—Manufacturing is a leading industry contributing to the success of the strong economy in Utah. Manufacturers of all sizes work tirelessly to innovate and improve their area of expertise. The Utah Manufacturers Association annually recognizes Utah manufacturing companies for their efforts in improving their manufacturing processes, contributing to the communities in which they live, driving the business economy and in providing a safe working environment for their employees.

At the Utah Manufacturers Association 112th Annual Banquet on November 11, 2017, nine exceptional manufacturing companies in the state were recognized for outstanding execution in operational performance and best practices, economic achievement, workplace safety, community and state involvement, public outreach and fidelity to the principles of free enterprise. These companies have demonstrated areas of expertise and outstanding business practices in their individual industry subsectors as well as demonstrating this to the general business community.

The Utah Manufacturers Association understands the challenges that manufacturers face in recruiting and maintaining a skilled workforce to meet the demands of today’s economy. Skills gap and educational training are paramount for the industry as we move forward in addressing future work force needs.

Manufacturers are awarded the Workforce Development Award for excelling in areas of workforce planning and development. We honor companies that are proactively addressing their needs and setting an example for other companies in the industry on how to address this difficult and changing issue.
