St. George, Utah—Two of Utah’s largest professional sports organizations – the Utah Jazz and the award-winning Black Desert Resort – are bringing together the National Basketball Association (NBA), Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and Professional Golf Association (PGA) across a unique alliance that will expand opportunities for athletes, fans, and Utah residents.

“Black Desert Resort, like Delta Center, is a premier destination in Utah for visitors and locals who are seeking top-tier sport and entertainment,” said Chris Barney, chief commercial officer of the Utah Jazz. “We are thrilled to collaborate with Black Desert Resort to highlight the beauty and appeal of southern Utah across our multiple platforms while enhancing the experience for fans at Utah Jazz home games with access to the new Black Desert Club space.”

“We found that combining the world of professional basketball and professional golf is an unusually good fit for fans of both sports,” said Patrick Manning, managing partner of Black Desert Resort. “Our shared mission is to elevate the sports and entertainment experience, whether you are a fan or a visitor. Guests of both venues will be seeing a lot of Black Desert Resort at Delta Center and a lot more of the Jazz at Black Desert Resort.”

With a shared vision of innovating Utah’s professional sports landscape both organizations will integrate co-branding initiatives through logos, trademarks, and equal utilization of facilities. The partnership will allow the Utah Jazz and Black Desert Resort to engage new and existing fans, offering unparalleled experiences through exclusive benefits, private lounges, cohesive content, and special packages.

The venture includes the rebranding of the LGCY Club at Delta Center to the Black Desert Club starting with the first regular season game on Oct. 25. The arena club, which welcomed 163,000 visitors over the past year, will feature signature landscape pictures and branding that is representative of Black Desert Resort’s unique landscape in southern Utah.

Fans attending Jazz games will notice other prominent Black Desert Resort branding throughout Delta Center, including digital signage and logos. Additional plans are underway to elevate the Utah Jazz experience at Black Desert Resort, with details to be shared in the coming weeks.
