About this episode:
Utah is known for its entrepreneurial spirit, and the U’s Lassonde Institute is helping to lead that charge. Among its contributions is managing the annual Utah Entrepreneur Challenge, which is sponsored by Zions Bank. This year’s finalists are college-aged entrepreneurs from institutions all over the state competing for over $100,000 in prizes, including a $40,000 first-place prize. Brody King, student competition director and a past participant, and Anne Bastien, a staff advisor to the Utah Entrepreneur Challenge talk about the challenge and how it helps stoke the startup sector and economy as a whole. If you’d like to get involved, you can vote on finalists’ videos at http://lassonde.utah.edu/uec/vote2018 through April 7 at noon, and you can find out more about the live final event on April 7 here.
