Not only do these tree planting projects offset Co2 emissions, provide habitats for wildlife, prevent soil erosion, and promote biodiversity, but they also involve local farmers and create livelihoods for people living in extreme poverty by offering them the dignity of employment and the possibility to become transformational agents of global forest restoration.
