People Experience Specialist | PDQ

Was there a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today?

A pivotal moment for me was getting my foot in the door at a local tech company shortly after high school graduation. What started as a sales role soon evolved into my exploring the company and learning from many talented and gifted individuals. The transition from making daily sales calls to becoming a seasoned support guru—and eventually joining the people operations team—collectively guided me to where I am today.

Who inspires you?

Kris Jenner once dropped this line of wisdom: “If somebody says no, you’re talking to the wrong person.” Camille Lewis, VP of people at PDQ, is my personal yes-woman and an all-around inspiration—she’s my equivalent to Kris Jenner. Never saying no, she continues to push me and helps me discover ways to achieve the impossible. Because of the opportunities Camille has offered me, I’m continuing to grow my expertise beyond what I would have expected at age 21.

What advice do you have for other young professionals?

It’s absolutely OK not to have all of life’s answers; it’s what builds character and pushes us to grow and craft our own answers. As I navigate my life, I’m constantly learning to embrace uncertainty and worry less about the future. Given the short time we have on this Earth, I encourage everyone to celebrate all of life’s wins, big or small—even if it’s simply treating yourself to a caramel banana cinnamon roll from The Dough Lady!
