KAMAS, Utah — This small white shed with the green goose out front marks the very beginning of something we’ve been working toward for years, and it actually wasn’t a part of the plan at all.

The stand sits on a 14-acre piece of land made up of two parcels we’ve purchased over the last few years. Our long-term dream is to turn the land into a full agricultural tourism experience—with orchards, calf barns, beehives, a creamery, dairy cows, etc. Building something like that is undeniably hard work, but we didn’t realize just how much the regulation and approvals would slow the process down.
Because this property includes wetlands, we’re currently in a holding pattern while the Army Corps of Engineers determines where we can and can’t build. We’ve already started to work on one structure, but until we get additional approvals, we’re limited in what we can do.
So in order to invite customers to enjoy a piece of Ballerina Farm now, we decided to build this stand in the meantime. While small, it is still significant. For the first time, when someone drives through Kamas and passes Ballerina Farm, they can stop and pick up a gallon of raw milk fresh from our dairy. Or buy a pound of bacon—things we haven’t been able to offer until now.
Inside you’ll find our raw milk (only available at the farm stand), local eggs, seasonal greens, Ballerina Farm products, and a curated selection of other local and partner products we use and love.
So this is really just the beginning! We’re working on adding soft-serve ice cream this summer from a food truck, and plan to bring sheep to the property later this month. Over time, we hope this little slice of land grows into a place where families come to experience the farm in a real and meaningful way.
If you’ve been with us since the beginning, you know how passionate we are about bringing people closer to the land and the food they eat. This first small piece of a larger vision feels like a good step in that direction for us.
So stop by, grab some milk, and say hello. We can’t wait to share more of what’s to come.
