Boston/London/Warsaw — Paradigm Publishing Services has signed new distribution partnerships with the University of Washington Press and University Press of Colorado. These agreements also include distribution of content from Utah State University Press, University of Wyoming Press, and University of Alaska Press which are managed by the University Press of Colorado.

The addition of this content to Paradigm’s University Press Library Group (UPL), a distribution association of university presses around the world, significantly increases the amount of content in Asian Studies and Indigenous Studies that UPL provides and also expands UPL’s reach within the United States and around the world. Previously, Stanford University Press, University of Texas Press, Lynne Rienner Publishers, and University of California Press were the only publishers from the west of the United States included in the UPL.

“I’m delighted to partner with these presses,” said Michael Zeoli, Vice President of Global Sales for Paradigm. “University of Washington Press and University Press of Colorado have been publishing essential and quality content for a long time. Their expertise in specific subject areas will benefit everyone in the UPL.”

“On behalf of our imprints, we look forward to working with Paradigm and to having our content be more accessible to students, faculty, and researchers around the world. Paradigm’s reach and offerings are extensive and this relationship will benefit everyone involved,” said Darrin Pratt, Director of the University Press of Colorado.

UPL is an innovative acquisition model designed for academic libraries, bringing together eBook collections from over 30 of the world’s leading university presses and publishing houses, including renowned names such as Harvard, Princeton, and Edinburgh. Originally created to enhance the predictability and sustainability of eBook collection acquisitions, the UPL has evolved into a comprehensive and unrestricted collection acquisition model for academic libraries.

“The University of Washington Press looks forward to growing the readership for our rich collection of books in partnership with UPL as we continue to expand our global digital publishing program through multiple channels,” said Nicole Mitchell, Director.
