DEER VALLEY RESORT; PARK CITY, UTAH — Deer Valley will open early for the 2024-2025 ski season, officially welcoming season pass holders on Friday, November 29, 2024, and all guests on Saturday, November 30, 2024. Optimal snowmaking conditions have created ideal early-season ski conditions. Skiers will enjoy five runs served by four chairlifts across Bald Eagle and Bald Mountain, with additional terrain expected to open as conditions permit.

This early opening marks an exciting milestone, for the first time in Deer Valley history, we’ll be opening Thanksgiving weekend.

Season Passholder Appreciation Day: Deer Valley will host the annual exclusive Season Pass Holder Appreciation Day on Friday, November 29, 2024, offering Deer Valley pass holders the unique opportunity to hit the slopes before the official season opening. From 12 to 4 p.m., lifts will run exclusively for Deer Valley Pass Holders, with registration, Snow Park Ski Corral, and Basket Check services available at Snow Park Lodge from 11 a.m.

Pass Holders will also receive a complimentary lunch voucher, redeemable at Snow Park Restaurant between 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. or Silver Lake Lodge between noon and 3:30 p.m. Members of Deer Valley’s leadership team will be on-site in the 2002 Room in Snow Park Lodge from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. to share updates on the Expanded Excellence initiative, including plans for additional terrain and enhanced amenities. A Season of Expansion: Deer Valley is on track to double its overall skiable terrain by the 2025-2026 season, positioning itself as one of North America’s largest ski resorts. The 2024-2025 season marks a pivotal moment in the resort history, with the debut of the first terrain and chairlifts in the resort’s ambitious expansion set to open next month.

This winter, guests will enjoy access to the expanded terrain via three new chairlifts, offering over 300 additional skiable acres, 20 new runs, and 500 extra parking spots at the developing Deer Valley East Village. These enhancements are slated to open in late December (conditions permitting).

Future phases of Expanded Excellence will introduce six additional chairlifts, a 10-passenger gondola, nearly 100 new trails, and additional enhanced guest amenities. The Expanded Excellence initiative is a transformative multi-year development that amplifies Deer Valley’s legacy of exceptional skiing and guest service with the development of Deer Valley East Village, significant skier terrain expansion, a reimagined Snow Park including a new base village and the revitalization of existing mountain facilities.
