Salt Lake City — Beehive Meals is proud to join Utah First Lady Abby Cox’s Show Up for Educator Wellness initiative in supporting local educators and facility members. On Wednesday, September 11th, Beehive Meals will visit South Kearns Elementary and James E. Moss Elementary to donate freezer meals to every faculty and staff member at both schools. Utah First Lady Abby Cox will join Beehive Meals at each location, assisting with the freezer meal donations and providing critical school supplies funded by generous private donations. Teachers at these schools submitted wishlists to the Show Up team, requesting essential classroom materials, which will be distributed alongside the freezer meals.
These schools were selected after winning a raffle during the Show Up for Teachers conference on July 9, 2024. The raffle received nearly one thousand entries, and South Kearns Elementary and James E. Moss Elementary were among five schools chosen to receive freezer meals for their entire staff, valued at approximately $10,000 per school. Other winning schools include Bear River Middle School, EG King Elementary, and Taylor Elementary. In total, Beehive Meals is donating $50,000 worth of freezer meals through this initiative.
“Supporting our educators is critical, and we’re honored to partner with the First Lady to give back to those who dedicate so much to our children," said Allyse Jackson, founder of Beehive Meals. “We hope these meals provide some ease and convenience for the hardworking teachers and staff."
“We are so grateful for the incredible work Beehive Meals does for those that need it most,” said Utah First Lady Abby Cox. “Their meals do so much to lift the burden for our educators, foster families, and others. They are a great example of what makes Utah so special and their focus on the community embodies the best of Utah business.”
Media Availability: Utah First Lady Abby Cox and Beehive Meals Founder and CEO, Allyse Jackson will be available for media interviews starting at 3:30 pm at South Kearns Elementary (5500 S 4385 W, Kearns, UT 84118).
