Provo, UT — American Airlines announced increased operations for its upcoming October 7th inauguration of service from Provo Airport (PVU) to its hubs at Dallas – Ft. Worth International Airport (DFW) and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). Starting November 5th, American Airlines will increase its service offerings to DFW from two daily flights to three daily flights.

“Momentum continues to soar at the Provo Airport with a third daily American flight making it even more possible to fly from Provo to anywhere in the world,” said Provo Mayor Michelle Kaufusi. “The power of three daily flights means local travelers have even more of an opportunity to connect to American’s vast network at DFW, which will be valuable to both business and leisure travelers.”

Kaufusi continued, “American Airline’s service will provide passengers nonstop access to both work and play activities including mountain escapes, exciting college football games, snowy ski resorts and efficient travel to important business meetings and work events.”

American’s service between PVU – PHX will be flown once daily, complementing service to DFW with convenient connections to destinations in the Western U.S., Hawaii, and Mexico. “The efficient travel times featured at the Provo Airport promise greater convenience for the travel journey. Expedited travel time frees up opportunity to explore Provo’s unique destinations or conduct business,” said Brian Torgersen, Provo Airport Director. “Located in the heart of Silicon Slopes, our business community will appreciate having a travel opportunity that will save them time and provide greater comfort and convenience.”

“American looks forward to offering four daily flights to Provo starting this November,” said Joe Sottile, American’s Director of Domestic Network Planning. “American’s convenient schedule from PVU to DFW and PHX will enable one-stop connections to more than 200 destinations around the world on our comprehensive global network.”
