Park City, UT — Recognizing the unique opportunity it presents for clients and legal talent, Polsinelli has expanded its presence in Utah into the Park City market, with a new office located in the vibrant downtown area – as the first Am Law 100 firm to venture into the mountain resort. Polsinelli already has an existing office in Salt Lake City with a focus on venture capital, technology and data privacy, intellectual property, real estate finance and litigation as well as labor and employment. Polsinelli has also named a managing partner for the two offices – Shareholder Marla R. Bell, who has been with the firm for more than 20 years and will be leading the firm’s strategic direction in Utah.

“Park City offers us unique opportunities to complement our presence in the greater Salt Lake City area and connect with clients and talent in a thriving and growing market that is a major draw for decision makers nationwide. We see a lot of potential for Polsinelli in Utah and are excited to grow our presence there,” said Chase Simmons, CEO & Chairman of Polsinelli. “Marla is nationally recognized for her real estate finance and private debt practice and knows what it means to grow a successful business at Polsinelli. She will be an excellent leader for our efforts in Utah.”

“Park City has evolved so much over the past decade and is a highly coveted destination for many of our national clients in real estate, private equity, venture capital and finance,” said Bell. “We are excited to host and engage with our clients here soon and expand our service offerings in the near future. We have already been involved in the local community for a while and are excited to expand our involvement further.”

With more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate finance on a nationwide basis and capital markets, Bell has extensive experience with all types of commercial real estate finance structures, whether first mortgage loans, component notes, or mezzanine financing (and including structures involving tenants in common and Delaware Statutory Trusts) and assets (including retail, multifamily, hotel, condominium, office, industrial, mobile home, self-storage and mixed-use projects). She also assists lenders with financings pursuant to repurchase facilities and secondary market sales and contributing loans to CLOs and CMBS securitizations. Bell received her J.D. from the University of Kansas and a B.A. from the University of Texas. She was recently named to the 2024 Legal Elite by Utah Business.

Along with Bell, Rick Jordan, Co-Chair of the Venture Capital & Emerging Growth Companies Practice, and Jeffrey S. Bell, Chair of the Immigration & Global Mobility Practice, will make Park City their primary office location.
