SALT LAKE CITY, UT—The Utah Jazz Holiday Playhouse Project presented by First Colony Mortgage will be on display during Jazz home games from Nov. 23-Dec. 13, with three outdoor playhouses on the Vivint Arena plaza. The playhouses will be gifted to families from Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area in a special presentation during the Dec. 13 Jazz game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Three Utah home builders – Visionary Homes, Fieldstone Homes, and Carefree Homes – participated in the project by designing, building, and decorating the 8 x 10 foot homes. Each playhouse is a Jazz-themed wooden structure customized by the builder with unique features.

The mini-homes for children will be showcased on the east side of Vivint Arena along 300 West between South Temple and 100 South. First Colony Mortgage, the official mortgage lender of the Utah Jazz who has funded more than 60,000 homes since 1984, provided the inspiration behind the project.

“First Colony Mortgage has always admired Ryan and Ashley Smith and the Jazz organization for its charitable efforts,” said Corey Shelley, owner of First Colony Mortgage. “We are excited by this joint effort with our partners from Visionary Homes, Carefree Homes, and Fieldstone Homes to benefit our local Ronald McDonald House and bring some holiday joy to these families.”

“With the lights sparkling on the plaza of Vivint Arena, the home of the Utah Jazz is proud to display these playhouses before they find new homes with families this holiday season,” said Chris Barney, Utah Jazz chief commercial officer. “Utah’s focus on community is so strong, and our organization is excited to be a part of this project and grateful for our partners.”
