Orem — University Place, a 112-acre mixed-use development announced the grand opening of Dillard’s. The newly constructed 160,000 square foot department store is located on the west side of the shops at University Place facing State Street.

“It is an honor to have such a reputable retailer move to University Place,” says Randy Woodbury, president, and CEO of Woodbury Corporation. “As University Place continues to grow and evolve offering housing, office, and entertainment options, it’s shopping that has always been the foundation of our success. This beautiful new Dillard’s store further solidifies University Place as a shopping destination.”

This new store will carry over 22,000 pairs of shoes and over 650 name brands. Many of those name brands are new to the market including Lacoste, Psycho Bunny, Hammit, Louis Vuitton, Sam Eddleman, and more.

“We have really increased our assortment of brands,” says Robert Glodowski, Dillard’s Store Manager. “Our previous location could be described as a B or C location as far as Dillard’s go. This will be an A.”

This will be the fifth Dillard’s store in Utah.

Dillard’s SVP William Dillard, III, states, “We are truly excited to open Dillard’s at University Place. The amazing new store allows us to put our best foot forward for our Provo-Orem customers. We have enjoyed a strong presence in Utah for almost three decades, and this new location underscores our commitment to this beautiful state.”

With a soft opening on March 11, today marks the Grand Opening with a full schedule of events throughout the day, including meet and greets with local celebrities, music, demonstrations, and more. For a complete list please visit www.universityplaceorem.com/events/.
