Herriman — Construction is scheduled to begin on the new Herriman Emergency Center freestanding ER to address the population growth experienced in portions of southern Salt Lake County. The emergency facility will be the first Emergency Room within Herriman city limits, but will also be accessible from 11400 South, 12300 South, and Bangerter Highway.
The Herriman Emergency Center is a Lone Peak Hospital freestanding ER that will provide 24/7 emergency care to people living and working in Herriman, Riverton, South Jordan, and West Jordan, and their surrounding neighborhoods. MountainStar Healthcare is committed to meeting these cities’ growing health care needs by increasing access to high-quality critical care closer to home and work.
The new ER facility, opening in 2022, will provide comprehensive, hospital-based emergency services and will be fully equipped and staffed by experienced, board-certified physicians from Lone Peak Hospital. They will be supported by equally knowledgeable nurses, technicians, and other medical staff.
Lone Peak Hospital began as a freestanding ER in 2013 in Draper. Since then, the facility has grown into a 32-bed hospital with two medical office buildings and now, this freestanding ER in Herriman.
The Herriman Emergency Center freestanding ER will feature:
• 10 patient exam rooms
• 24/7 emergency medical care
• Comprehensive laboratory and imaging services, including computed tomography (CT) scans, X rays and ultrasounds
• Experienced, board-certified physicians
With the freestanding ER in place, paramedics will be able to respond faster to service calls and allow ambulances to return to service in the community quicker.
