Ticaboo Lodge & Offshore Marina, Inc., aka, North Lake Powell, a premier destination for outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers, is proud to announce the promotion of Ray Golden from General Manager to President effective immediately.
As President, Ray Golden will oversee all aspects of the resort’s operations, including strategic planning, business development, and guest services. He will work closely with the executive team to implement new initiatives and drive the company’s mission of delivering exceptional hospitality and outdoor adventures.
“We are incredibly fortunate to have two seasoned executives steering the North Lake Powell project,” said Robert Mitchell, Ticaboo owner. “As President, Ray Golden oversees the entire operation, expertly handling external communications, marketing, and government relations. Alongside him, Amy Golden, as General Manager, brings exceptional proficiency across all business functions. Together, their leadership is driven by a passion for business growth, a deep respect for the region, and an intimate understanding of its rich history and geography.”
Ray and Amy Golden, with over 30 years in the outdoor adventure industry began their journey in West Virginia’s whitewater rafting business, later establishing their own company in Costa Rica. They moved to Maine and then the Outer Banks, NC, where they became fishing enthusiasts and opened their first bait & tackle store, eventually expanding to charter fishing and marina operations in Savannah, GA. In 2016, they joined Ticaboo Lodge to develop the adventure operations and oversee the company rebranding to North Lake Powell, which earned the 2022 Economic Development & Tourism Award for Utah.
Ray also serves as the fire chief for the Ticaboo Volunteer Fire Department and a volunteer for Eastern Garfield County Search & Rescue, while Amy manages operations and sits on the Board of Trustees for the local utility company.
