Grand America Hotels & Resorts announced that Davy Ratchford has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO) while continuing his General Manager leadership role at Snowbasin.
Since joining Snowbasin in 2018, Ratchford has led the resort through a period of transformative business improvement with major capital investments including new chairlifts, stunning new dining and banquet venues, improved resorts access, and expanded parking. Under his leadership, Snowbasin has gained national recognition and was recently ranked the No. 1 resort in North America by USA Today, Outside Magazine, and SKI Magazine.

Davy joined the ski industry after leading marketing for Real Salt Lake during their run to an MLS Cup, going on to hold senior leadership positions at Vail Mountain, Northstar Resort, and Park City Mountain. He maintains active leadership roles in the local community, serving on the Board of Directors for the National Ski Area Association, Ski Utah, and Visit Ogden. He also serves on the Ski Area Management Future Leader Council and recently concluded a four-year assignment as the Honorary Commander at Hill Air Force Base.
