This month, Spencer’s For Steaks & Chops (located in the Hilton Salt Lake City Center Downtown) is welcoming a new Executive Chef to their kitchen and hotel. Jared Maish, who has been with the Spencer’s For Steaks & Chops back-of-house team for 2.5 years, is excited to enter this new role and bring his experience, Culinary Arts Degree, and tasteful techniques to our everchanging menu.

“I’ve always had a passion for cooking!” says Jared Maish. “Since starting my first job at 13 in a kitchen I knew that’s where I thrived.” Years later, Jared enrolled in culinary school at Le Cordon Bleu Chicago where we obtained an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts and made the Dean’s List with a 4.0.

Jared continues to add “ As the Salt Lake City market grows, it brings new ingredients and flavors to the city, and I stay on top of all it to ensure our recipes match the current growing palette of Salt Lake City. I strive to express creativity to my team and knowledge to the service staff to elevate Spencer’s For Steaks & Chops and Hilton Salt Lake City Center Downtown to new heights!”

The Spencer’s team will also launch their next cocktail series on December 3rd and invites everyone over 21+ to experience the Let It Snow! Cocktail Series:

★ Mistletoe - A holiday margarita featuring cinnamon, cranberry, and a hint of spice

★ Cookies For Santa - A martini blend with a Christmas cookie flavor in every sip

★ Fireside Stories - Featuring a smoky twist on a classic mule with High West Campfire Whiskey

★ Lump of Coal - With Fireball whiskey, a dash of cinnamon, and topped with a caramel drizzle
