Mr. Jeanfreau earned a BA in communications and business from the University of Utah and an MBA in business administration from the University of Oregon. His substantial hands-on executive experience has helped numerous companies achieve their corporate directives and realize greater financial returns. Mr. Jeanfreau replaces outgoing CEO Chad Parker.

Mr. McHugh spent 14 years in South Florida as a licensed broker and most recently, VP of Risk Management for Big-D construction. He specializes in highly specialized coverages, risk financing, and risk management strategies. He has spent the last 5 years as an executive in corporate risk management, managing over $40M of insurance annually for an individual client and large volumes of insurance to clients in various industries. The Buckner Company, founded in 1936, is one of the west’s largest regional insurance brokerages, placing over $200,000,000 of insurance premiums through its six offices in Utah, Idaho and Colorado.
Salt Lake City— The Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (UMOCA) Board of Trustees announces today that they have selected Laura Allred Hurtado to serve as the Executive Director of the museum. Ms. Hurtado was the global acquisitions art curator for the Church History Museum. She has published broadly, including two books, has worked and/or curated exhibitions in New York City, San Francisco, and throughout Utah, at such places as San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Nox Contemporary, The Granary Art Center, The Utah Museum of Fine Arts, CUAC Contemporary, Riverside Church, the Rio Gallery, Columbia University, and the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art. UMOCA’s Board of Trustees are confident that Laura will be an articulate advocate for contemporary art in Utah and look forward to her joining UMOCA on April 1.
