Salt Lake City—Some say you are what you wear, but what about your engagement ring? June is a team of passionate professionals changing the bridal industry for the better. Their mode of choice? Fine jewelry.

Elegant designs, gorgeous settings, premium materials—there’s a thousand reasons why women all over the world are eager to add a June ring to their jewelry box. And like every thriving business, June’s captivating origin story is one you don’t want to miss.

It All Started With Fleur

Jess Petrey, founder and CEO of June, is a seasoned jewelry expert specializing in engagement ring design. After years in the bridal sphere, she recognized a major gap: the fine jewelry industry, composed of products designed for women, is primarily dominated by men.

Jess saw this dissonance amongst her soon-to-be engaged family and friends—and in light of her upcoming proposal, herself. Increasing requests for custom engagement rings and her own personal ring search shed light on a regrettable reality: Women know what types of engagement ring styles they want to see, and these designs aren’t available at their local jeweler.

The demand for innovation inspired Jess to design the first June Collection Ring in 2019: The Fleur. Fleur was the embodiment of Jess’ ideal ring, featuring a split shank band, open bezel setting, and a unique 2.10 carat elongated oval diamond. This design is the foundation of the June Collection and is still their most popular style to this day. An icon, and the start of something great.

What is June?

June is an all-woman team of jewelry specialists with an appreciation for the fine details. Named after the peak month of wedding season, June prides itself in its use of materials, such as ethically-sourced stones (both mined and lab created), sustainable gold, custom-cut moissanite, colored gemstones, and more. Every ring is made to order from a customizable variety of prized materials.

It’s simple, really. Every bride deserves to find their perfect ring—and even more, know that it’s somehow attainable. June’s skilled team of designers understands the importance of this everyday accessory and has all the know-how to make it happen.

Modern Technology, Timeless Style

In addition to their renowned style, June’s innovative 3D print technology takes the uncertainty out of online shopping with their unique try-at-home feature. This tangible element ensures you know exactly what your ring will look like before it’s made.

These 3D-printed replicas allow customers to compare stone shapes, carat sizes, and ring styles of any June Collection design from the comfort of home. And in the case of custom ring design—a notoriously intimidating process—customers receive thorough digital renderings and a 3D-printed model of their bespoke piece. It’s easy, approachable, and most of all, fun.

June’s try-at-home innovations and remote customer interaction capabilities were particularly appealing during the COVID-19 pandemic, when in-store jewelry shopping was solemnly put on pause. Today, June still operates remotely through email and video consultations, but has since opened an office in Salt Lake City, Utah for in-person appointments.

It’s June Year-Round

With June, quality and beauty are always guaranteed. No ring is mass-produced, and no style is too eccentric. Each collection honors the heritage of fine jewelry and welcomes aesthetic innovations like nontraditional diamond shapes or gold finishes.

So, scratch your dated expectations of streamlined ring designs from the jeweler on the corner. If your ring isn’t already waiting in the June Collection, a personal design consultant will guide you through the bespoke process. Browse unique diamond shapes & cuts, modern & vintage settings, rare stones, everyday essentials, and wedding bands.

It’s only a matter of time before you find the perfect fit.

June understands one universal truth: Women know what they want. And in an industry with a significantly female-dominant clientele, it’s about time we let women do the talking.
