Salt Lake City — EyeCare4Kids today announced its newest eye care clinic in Ogden, Utah. This is the second brick-and-mortar clinic established by EyeCare4Kids in Utah, reinforcing its commitment to providing essential eye care services to children and adults in need. The new clinic is located at 3733 South 250 West, Suite 101 in Ogden.

A grand opening event is planned for Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Noon. The event is open to the public and will include music, light refreshments, balloons, vision screenings, fun giveaways and a guided tour of the new state-of-the-art clinic. EyeCare4Kids mascot, SEE-MORE, will also be in attendance to add to the fun,

The Ogden clinic will offer a range of products and services, including frames, lenses, and comprehensive eye exams that will help identify early vision challenges. These services are crucial for detecting and addressing vision problems, ensuring that children and adults in the Ogden area have access to the eye care they need.

“The northern Utah clinic will allow us to extend our services and care to more communities across the state, making it easier for underserved families to get access to valuable eye care services that are too often financially out of reach,” said Joseph Carbone, president and founder of EyeCare4Kids. “We appreciate the support of all of our donors and volunteers who make our services possible, and we look forward to taking our mobile clinics and community outreach programs across Ogden and neighboring towns.”

To support the new clinic, EyeCare4Kids has hired two experienced optometrists, Dr. John Perez, O.D. and Dr. John Larcabal, O.D.

Dr. Perez is a native Utahn and an alum of Southern Utah University. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree at Salus University in Elkins Park, Pa.

Carbone added, “Dr. Perez’s local roots and passion for eye care make him an invaluable addition to the EyeCare4Kids team.”

Dr. Larcabal, a graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry, brings over 35 years of experience to the clinic.

“Dr. Larcabal’s extensive background and dedication to patient care will greatly benefit the Ogden community,” said Carbone.

The EyeCare4Kids Ogden clinic is now open and accepting appointments. A grand opening for the clinic is planned for August 2024.
