On October 29, 2018, Lehi Junior High and DevMountain officially launched the Good Human’s Project—a program that awards Lehi Junior High students for doing kind acts within their school. DevMountain is sponsoring this ongoing project in effort to help Lehi Junior High staff encourage young students to create a comfortable and kind environment on the school’s campus.
Each month, the school staff will take note of the good deeds they see each student perform. Then at the end of each month, the staff will decide which students should be recognized and why. After they determine which students should receive the Good Human’s Award, the students are given a t-shirt that says, “Good Human,” on the front and, “The world is full of good people. If you can’t find one, be one,” on the back.
After receiving their t-shirt, students are part of a short program where they are recognized for their good deeds in front of their parents, school district administration, state legislators, and city council members.
“When we heard about the Good Human’s Project, it just made sense to get involved,” Brandon Hassler, Director of Marketing at Devmountain, said. “We want to be a part of this because any program that encourages people to be the better version of themselves is something that DevMountain wants to be behind.”
With the support of DevMountain, Lehi Junior High plans to continue the Good Human’s Project throughout the next six months of the school year.
