The December 2017 issue of Utah Business magazine features the Best Companies to Work For program highlighting the local employers that are going above and beyond for their employees and a hard hitting look at how the #MeToo campaign and sexual harassment could apply to your business.


Best Companies to Work For:

How do we determine the Best Companies to Work For? Any company with a Utah presence is encouraged to participate in the Best Companies to Work For program. The process involves two surveys: one for a company’s HR/corporate department to complete and the other for the company’s employees to complete. The surveys ask questions about benefits and compensation, growth opportunities, company culture, management, etc. Once the surveys have been completed, the responses are scored based on a point system and the highest-ranking organizations are deemed the Best Companies to Work For.

Drawing a Line:

Harvey Weinstein, Al Franken, Matt Lauer. The last several weeks have been filled with a seemingly endless line of allegations against high profile celebrities, politicians and businessmen, and as more victims come forward, even more appear. Sexual harassment is a phenomenon that just happens in other places and other industries – until it happens close to home, too.
