Davis County, UT — The Davis Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Jodi Lunt, Executive Director of the Davis Education Foundation, has been selected as the recipient of their prestigious 2024 Legacy Award. This high honor is awarded to individuals whose contributions have made a profound and lasting impact on the community.
Under Jodi Lunt’s exceptional leadership, the Davis Education Foundation has significantly expanded its support for the Davis School District, fostering programs that remove educational barriers and equip students with the necessary resources. Her efforts have ensured that every child in the district has access to education and the tools needed for success in the classroom and beyond.
Angie Osguthorpe, President of the Davis Chamber of Commerce, commented on this year’s recipient, “We are thrilled to recognize Jodi with our highest honor, the Legacy Award. Jodi’s fierce dedication aligns with our mission of supporting excellence and community development in Davis County. No one is more deserving of this award.”
Jodi Lunt has dedicated 34 years to the field of education. She began her career as a teacher and progressed through roles as a specialist, curriculum supervisor, and director for various educational programs.
Jodi’s visionary leadership has led to significant accomplishments, including the construction of eleven Teen Centers in the Davis School District and a 16-bed residential center for students experiencing housing insecurity. Her commitment to education and community service is further demonstrated through her involvement in numerous boards and committees, including the Show-Up Executive Advisory Board for First Lady Abby Cox and the Utah Public Schools Foundation Association.

Annual Awards Banquet
The Legacy Award, along with their annual Davis Chamber Business Awards, will be presented at the Davis Chamber of Commerce Business Awards Banquet.
The banquet will take place on Thursday, September 19th, 2024, from 6:30 – 9:00 pm, at the Davis Conference Center, pirate-themed or semi-formal dress requested. The night will be emceed by Davis Chamber of Commerce Executive Board Member and Lagoon General Manager, Terry Capener.
