Reno—Broadbent & Associates Inc. (Broadbent), a leading provider of environmental, water resource, and civil engineering solutions, is pleased to announce a significant leadership transition and recognize the exceptional contributions of its outgoing president, Doug Guerrant. After more than 13 years at the helm and an impressive 32-year tenure with the company, Guerrant is stepping down from his current role. Effective August 2023, Randy Miller, current vice president, will succeed Guerrrant as the next Broadbent president.

Miller’s promotion to president marks a momentous milestone for Broadbent as the organization enters a new era of growth and success. Miller has consistently demonstrated dedication and exceptional leadership since joining the firm in 1993. His deep industry knowledge, unwavering commitment to the company’s values, and strong rapport with clients make him the ideal leader to guide Broadbent’s future.

“Over the past 30 years, I have had the privilege of being part of the incredible Broadbent family, witnessing the organization’s evolution and growth," said Miller. “I am humbled and honored to take on the role of president, and I am committed to upholding the legacy of excellence established by Doug, our former president, Rob Miller, and our founder, Bob Broadbent. I look forward to leading Broadbent’s strategic direction, overseeing operations, and fostering our culture that yields long-term loyalty and a premium client experience."

During Guerrant’s tenure as president, Broadbent successfully expanded and diversified, and consistently reached or exceeded growth goals. His unwavering commitment to the company’s mission and his compassionate leadership have left a lasting mark on the organization and its employees. As he transitions into retirement, he will assume the role of vice president until his current term on the company’s board is complete in January 2024. Following that, he will continue to contribute to the company as a part-time principal, leading special projects, fostering expansion efforts, and mentoring others, all while dedicating his extra free time to his family and passion for golf.

“As I retire from my role as president and after more than three decades with the company, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible journey we have embarked on together," said Guerrant. “It has been a privilege to work alongside such a talented and dedicated team, and I am immensely proud of our success. During my time as president, Broadbent has grown and evolved, and I have had the pleasure of witnessing the company’s positive impact on our clients and the communities we serve. As I pass the torch to Randy, I am confident that the company will continue to thrive under his guidance."

Broadbent looks forward to embarking on this new chapter under Miller’s leadership and remains committed to providing sound scientific solutions to comprehensive resource management challenges for its valued clients.
