Manager, Transaction Advisory Services | Tanner LLC
What are you most proud of in your career thus far?
The things I value most are the relationships I’ve nurtured throughout my career and personal life. I take pride in having cultivated meaningful connections with numerous individuals who have contributed to my growth and development both professionally and personally. I am also proud of being able to conquer difficult challenges and prove to myself that I can overcome adversity. I’ve come to realize that the most gratifying triumphs are where we prove our abilities to ourselves rather than seeking validation from the outside world. Lastly, I am proud to have learned to accept constructive feedback, learn from it and enact meaningful changes.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
I hope to be progressing, learning and helping others achieve their goals. I hope to be someone that others can look up to and rely on. Professionally, I hope to be a partner at Tanner LLC, have the ability to give back to my community, and travel.
What advice do you have for other young professionals?
Be a net giver. Give more than you take, and the return will be exponential. Do hard things, even when they seem impossible; you will be better for it. Enjoy life, and don’t be too hard on yourself. Be patient with yourself. Work hard—the world owes you nothing. I love this quote from Thomas Jefferson: “I’m a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it." Lastly, build quality relationships and surround yourself with people who make you a better person.
