Salt Lake City —Big-D Construction, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, announced it has acquired CFC Construction.

Based in Golden, Colorado, CFC Construction has served the state for 45 years. Under new ownership, the company will continue to be locally managed and operate under the same name. Chairman and Founder, EJ Olbright, will continue in his role with CFC, along with CFC President Pat Smith.

“We are excited about CFC joining the Big-D family of companies.  We chose them because we found we have perfectly aligned values, culture, and vision for the future of CFC.  Our collective strength will allow us to grow while continuing to provide the very best-in-class construction management services in the Colorado market. It will also ensure we take care of our greatest asset, our associates, who will be able to further expand and develop their careers,” says Olbright.

After four decades in the Centennial state, CFC Construction has left its footprint through hundreds of unique, challenging, and successful projects, including office, resort, hospitality, and multi-family. This transaction will allow CFC to better serve its clients by enabling the company to take on larger, more complex projects in Colorado while increasing its bonding capacity and resources.

“This acquisition is part of Big-D’s vision to strengthen our company through alliances with premier builders and talented project teams in selected markets. CFC has a reputation for providing clients innovative solutions and strong leadership. We are honored to be partners and excited to be a part of their future,” says Chairman Jack Livingood, Big-D Construction.
