As founder and CEO of Wellnest Fertility, Heather West leads the only full-service fertility clinic in South Ogden. By pioneering a virtual-first approach with immediate consultations months before opening a physical location, she eliminated traditional waitlists while making treatments more geographically and financially accessible.

Under her leadership, Wellnest offers comprehensive services beyond IVF, including mental health support and nutritional counseling. In 2024, the clinic increased treatment affordability by up to 30 percent through innovative financial assistance programs while actively engaging with three chambers of commerce and LGBTQ+ organizations to ensure inclusive care.

What emerging market trends or disruptions are you preparing your company for?

Infertility rates are increasing across the country. Most assisted reproductive technology fertility treatments, like IVF, are not covered by insurance, and costs per IVF cycle can exceed $20,000. Due to this cost, 80 percent of fertility clinics are located in highly populated, affluent areas of the U.S., leaving the majority of the country without direct access to fertility services. … Wellnest Fertility was founded to improve geographic and financial access to fertility care by establishing clinics in markets not currently served by other IVF providers and providing fertility services at a significantly reduced cost to aspiring parents.

How has your company grown recently?

We built Wellnest Fertility from concept to providing fertility virtual care in less than nine months, including wrap-around, supportive services for our patients, such as integrated mental health, food and nutrition coaching, acupuncture and meditation.
