What is one thing you are most proud of accomplishing in your career thus far?

Youth apprenticeship is a big deal to me. I know what it is like to look for opportunities and not know where to start. When the choice is between a mountain of student loan debt or a job that barely puts food on the table, the future can seem very grim. For me, having the chance to work with employers to build out new youth apprenticeship programs for all kinds of different occupations is rewarding work.

What is your go-to business strategy?

Customer retention is key for the type of collaborative work we do with apprenticeship. Doing business in Utah means you will be working with the same people pretty consistently. Making sure those people are happy to come back to the table and work with you again can be the difference between success and failure when you have new strategic goals. Whether it is the apprentices or the businesses, we want to create an environment of ongoing interaction and returning customers.
