Are you where you thought you would be when you were 18?
I took a detour to become an 8th-grade English teacher out of college and work with education nonprofits. It’s not where I am now, but the experience taught me everything I know about empathy, consensus building and grit. I know I’m a better team member and leader because of that experience, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Who inspires you most?
My wife, Lauren. I’ve never seen someone so laser-focused on what they want out of their career. The success she’s experienced is because of that focus and confidence in herself. She is a true leader and an inspiration to be around.
