How do you define success for yourself and your company?

I look beyond the financial numbers when I am defining success for myself and the company. It typically can boil down to happy customers and happy employees. In order to do both, you need to focus on what matters to that individual. Oftentimes, for customers, it is providing packaging solutions that help their business thrive. For employees, it can be as simple as allowing an employee to go to a kid’s soccer game at three o’clock, no questions asked. When an employee feels you care about them as a person, it is remarkable how much they can care for the business.

How would you describe the culture of your company, and how do you maintain it?

Utah Paperbox’s strong employee-focused culture speaks for itself, with an average employee tenure of 14.95 years. Being a family-owned business, our culture is guided by family values. We understand that an employee is a person first and an employee second. Employees have many other things that are important to them, and we want to provide a fulfilling career while also allowing them the time and flexibility to be with their loved ones and pursue their passions.
