03 September 2010—

Kairos Autonomi, a manufacturer of retrofit kits to create optionally unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and vessels for military, security and industrial applications, has released a new Armor Enclosure that shields hardware from indirect shrapnel during testing and training exercises.

Using the Pronto4 Armor Enclosure to protect the Pronto4 Strap-on Autonomy System reduces or eliminates the Pronto4 system’s repair or replacement cost when it is used during live fire exercises on an unmanned moving land target (MLT).

“The Armor Enclosure extends the life of the Pronto4 system when used in training, testing and evaluation applications,” said Troy Takach, president and CEO of Kairos Autonomi. “Kairos Autonomi wanted its customers to have the ability to reduce the cost of a disabling collateral hit on the Pronto4 system.”
