Wendia Launches POB G6

Press Release

March 5, 2012

Wendia, a global provider of IT Service Management, announced the launch of POB (Point of Business) G6, the culmination of 20 years of experience and six generations of development in best-in-class IT Service Management and ITIL support. POB G6, now based on the .NET platform, features a powerful new graphical interface which gives greater access to the robust feature set found in prior versions, and enables faster deployment, enhanced flexibility for customized solutions, and seamless integration with dissimilar systems.

POB G6 is available now, and can be deployed in cloud or traditional on-premise versions, or as a unique hybrid model.

“Flexibility has always been a hallmark benefit of POB to our customers. Now, with G6, you can have a total cloud solution, an on-premise installation, or can easily design a hybrid solution that allows you to choose where and how you want your data stored or served,” said Atle Nilssen, Wendia’s CTO.

The .NET platform also creates a faster path to additional features, company officials noted, allowing POB to advance as a product technology more efficiently and quickly than ever before.

“Wendia is achieving record growth in our traditional offering and G6 gives us even more advantage in our cloud delivery model,” said Hal Tueller, CEO of Wendia’s North American operations. “POB G6 is accelerating our growth, allowing us to take the power of POB to many diverse organizations with more personalization, faster customization and with more power than ever before, with the help of the flexible new options our .NET platform provides.”

Wendia’s recent advances are visible in the company’s branding as well. They have recently produced fast paced and entertaining new videos to introduce Wendia and POB G6 to the world. The first video sparks interest in Wendia and POB and is playing now on the newly redesigned website. The second video will showcase the new features of G6 and will follow in the coming weeks. The videos put a fun and friendly face on an industry sector that is known for being highly reserved.

“The IT industry is moving fast, and POB G6 allows us to not only keep pace, but to set the pace,” said Wendia CEO Kirsten Daun. “In addition to our completely updated user interface, we have adapted POB to make it even better suited to support a world who’s only constant is perpetual change. Our speed of deployment–and increasing speed to market with new features–lets our customers measure their deployments and their paths to positive return in days and weeks, rather than months. Our upgrade path continues to be a benchmark for the industry.”

As with all prior POB generations, POB continues to offer the market’s best value, particularly over time, company officials stated, with the ability to serve one employee or millions, from the cloud or on premise or a hybrid solution.

Wendia continues to lead out in ITIL compatibility, and continues to stand out as an ITIL leader with certification in all 15 of the ITIL Version 3.1 processes Pink VERIFY tracks.
