The Utah Student 25 announced the 2012 winners, representing the best and the brightest student entrepreneurs from colleges and universities across the state of Utah. In its third year, the Utah Student 25 recognizes the achievements of student entrepreneurs, the innovative companies they founded and their contribution to the Utah economy. React Games, a digital game development company founded by BYU students, was honored as the top student-founded business in Utah at an awards gala at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City.
“The amount of talent, business acumen and pure energy coming from the students who participated in this year’s Utah Student 25 program is nothing short of amazing,” said John Richards, founder of the Utah Student 25. “Some of the students founded companies out of financial necessity, and some are following a dream. But all of them are achieving a level of success that in many ways that outstrips their limited years of experience.”
The Utah Student 25 selects winning businesses based on revenue growth and profitability. The following are the 2012 Utah Student Top 25, ranked in order:
Brad Moss, Chad Lee, James Oldham: Brigham Young University
Craig Anderson, Jacob Williams, Quinn Zite: University of Utah
Zach Smith, Josh Nyland: Weber State University
