Utah Entrepreneurs Launch Sidekix Line of Plush Toys

Press Release

February 17, 2012

Sidekix, a new Utah toy company, rolled out its new line of loveable toys to retail buyers, press, and the toy industry at the American International Toy Fair at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.

During this event, Sidekix showcased five new product lines. The products, which are available at upscale toy stores throughout Utah, can be previewed at http://www.sidekix.com/products.php

The American International Toy Fair is a highly anticipated and influential trade show for toy and hobby companies in North America with more than 1,100 exhibitors and more than 10,000 buyers from 85 countries.

"It was no surprise to us that the president of the largest sales rep. group on the East Coast fell in love with Sidekix. However, we weren't expecting to be offered a booth in the New York Toy Fair on the same floor as some of the most popular toys in the country. In just minutes we went from being on the waiting list to securing a spot that many work years to get. We will be in front of the best toy retailers in the world. You couldn't ask for a better way to launch," said Aubren Johnson., Sidekix co-founder, along with Tara Memmott Yeager.

Children actively participate in the company. Each Sidekix character was named by children and their feedback guides upcoming characters and product lines. Some proceeds will eventually go to benefit child-founded charities. For example, proceeds from the Endangered Line may go to support "One More Generation" - a non-profit organization started by a young brother and sister hoping to protect endangered species.

The goal of Sidekix is to promote strong values and leadership in the youth of today. "Not only will kids enjoy collecting their very own Sidekix, they themselves will become sidekicks of worthy causes across the nation," said Johnson. Its greatest hope is that children all over the world will be a part of Sidekix.
