The U.S. News & World Report released rankings for schools across the nation on Tuesday. Utah schools ranked high in the categories of “Best Colleges” and “Best Graduate Schools.”
"We appreciate the recognition these rankings give to our students and the quality of the education they receive," Dean Gary Cornia of the Marriott School of Management said. "Our students and graduates are helping to build a strong reputation around the world for their leadership, honesty and tremendous ability.”
The U.S. News & World Report bases its rankings on a weighted average of 10 quality measures including peer assessments, faculty resources, faculty awards and GRE scores for doctoral students. Graduate programs at 280 schools granting doctoral degrees in education were surveyed in the fall of 2011.
The University of Utah and Brigham Young University law schools are ranked among the top-50 law schools in America, while Utah State University’s College of Education and Human Services ranked No. 3.
