The Claim Jumper Restaurant celebrated its Grand Re-Opening August 9, 10 and 11. Originally opened on Bluff Street in St. George in 1995, the restaurant closed for renovations in late November of 2011, and is now ready to welcome its loyal customers back. The steakhouse opened for business on May 30 featuring appetizer specials for the many locals that visit.
The St. George Claim Jumper Steakhouse is part of the Utah chain which includes locations in Heber City and Vernal. The restaurant and lounge is a “go-to” spot for many locals and an exceptional venue for couples enjoying a night out on the town or families looking for a great steak or seafood dinner. Though the décor has a western flair, the restaurant itself offers a wide variety of fares including: prime rib, steaks, chicken marsala, fresh salads, great appetizers and many Mexican dishes. The new menu features more seafood items, Mexican dishes and fresh produce purchased from local suppliers.
Upon temporarily closing last November, the Claim Jumper underwent extensive cosmetic renovations both inside and out. The scope of work included all new wall finishes, new carpeting and flooring, a bar-back in the lounge area, new big screens, high-definition televisions and a revised menu. The restaurant can seat up to 170 guests and is prepared to handle corporate and private parties of any size. The Claim Jumper Lounge will feature live music every Friday and Saturday night for patrons enjoying the full bar, extensive wine list and draft/bottled beer.
