SMCOV Announces Partnership with the David Allen Company

Press Release

November 14, 2012

David Covey and Stephan Mardyks, co-founders of SMCOV, a global training and distribution network, announced an alliance with best-selling author and trainer, David Allen and the David Allen Company. This partnership will allow SMCOV to globally distribute Allen's world-class Intellectual Property (IP) based on his international best-seller, Getting Things Done, thereby enabling organizations and individuals world-wide the incredible opportunity to benefit from its cutting-edge content.

"The David Allen Company offers the best productivity training in the world and we look forward to joining forces," said Covey. "We are especially excited about the international launch of their newest IP the Mastering Workflow Series, a premier program made to improve both individual and organizational results. Anyone participating in this new program will have access to universally proven best practices, as well as a wide range of integrated services and products that are continuously being enhanced and expanded."

“The task of building a viable distribution model for global consumption of our methodology is daunting, to say the least,” Allen said, “So it's been wonderful to partner with the SMCOV team, who bring to the game unparalleled experience and resources in this arena. They have saved us tons of energy, allowing us to focus on what we do best and leverage it on a much broader scale”

This new series is primarily based on the methodology described in Allen's best-selling book, Getting Things Done: the Art of Stress-Free Productivity. This book provides proven tools, tips, and strategies that help people focus their energies into a logical and trusted system which increases personal organization, efficiency, and creativity.

Allen explained, "Mastering the art of work is a lifelong endeavor, involving increasing levels of proficiency, subtlety and complexity. How we manage focus; how we stay in control; how we make the best decisions--all have multiple layers of implications in our lives and businesses. An underlying ability to handle all of these aspects of productive engagement, no matter how fast and dramatically the world is changing around us, is sorely needed and sought after by millions of people."
