Rain, a Utah-based software and interactive development firm, was awarded the 2012 Advertising Age Small Agency of the Year award for the Southwest Region. Advertising Age receives hundreds of entries for the award which recognizes the power and successes of the top small, independently minded agencies across the globe.
"Rain's focus on company culture translates into really creative, intelligent and strategic client work every day,” said Andrew Howlett, CEO of Rain. “Our clients look to us for innovation and amazing ideas on how best to connect with their customers and, as an agency, we pride ourselves on delivering measurable results time and time again. The momentum at Rain is palpable, and to be recognized by Ad Age for our work is incredible and very humbling."
Although Rain’s 50-employee shop fits into the small agency category, the firm has a highly respected track record not only in Utah, but also all across the country. The company is rapidly evolving – having grown more than 150 percent over the last four years – with a reputation for creating full strategies for its clients, complete with design and development, to help augment the brands they work.
In addition to winning this prestigious industry award, Rain has won multiple other awards, including eight Favourite Website Awards for a mobile product — the most for any agency in the category. Most recently, “The Adventures of Timmy: Run, Kitty, Run,” a critically and commercially acclaimed mobile game created by Rain and Crossborders, won an FWA (Favourite Website Award) and a Webby Award for “People’s Voice in Handheld Games.”
