Profire Energy, Inc. (OTCBB:PFIE), which manufacturers, installs and services burner management systems for the oil and gas industry, announced the release of a new flare-ignition system (FIS) designed for open-flare and combustor (incinerator) applications. The system monitors the pilot flame and provides spark when the flame has been extinguished, a need many oil and gas customers are looking to fill.
“The release of the PF1300 flare ignition system represents Profire's long-standing commitment to understand - and respond to - our customers' needs,” said Andrew Limpert, chief financial officer of Profire Energy. “The PF1300 provides a simple option for many of our customers who need only a basic system to monitor and re-ignite the pilot flame in open-flare and combustor applications."
The PF1300 uses spark and flame-detection technology, the same technology found on the company's more sophisticated 2100 model, to monitor flame presence and provide spark. However, the 1300 does not control valves or manage the temperature of the vessel's combustion.
