Vivint appointed MATTHEW EYRING as the company’s chief strategy and innovation officer. In this newly created position, Eyring will lead the organization’s directional growth initiatives in home automation, residential security, and solar markets as well as provide guidance and direction on new initiatives. Utah Department of Health (UDOH) Executive Director Dr. David Patton named Dr. ALLYN NAKASHIMA, M.D., to serve as state epidemiologist. Nakashima is a Utah native who returns to Salt Lake City after a distinguished and lengthy career with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta.
Weber State University named STANLEY FAWCETT to the John B. Goddard Endowed Chair in Global Supply Chain Management. He is the first professor at WSU to hold the title of endowed chair. Fawcett joined WSU’s faculty in August as a visiting professor. He is an active researcher who has published more than 100 papers in the areas of supply chain integration, global network design and manufacturing strategy. Fawcett received his doctorate from Arizona State University and has had the opportunity to teach professional development programs in North and South America.
