Strike Axe, Inc. appointed WAYNE ALLYN ROOT, a seasoned entrepreneurial veteran and nationally recognized media personality and sales/marketing/branding expert, as chief executive officer and director. In this position, he is responsible for corporate vision, national and global branding, strategic partnerships, cultivating key distribution channels, and creating strategies that expand Strike Axe’s distribution of nutritional supplements.
Black Diamond, Inc. hired MORI HIKARI as general manager of Gregory Japan. Mori brings more than 20 years of industry experience, including eight years with Goldwin as the general manager of The North Face business in Japan. KEN KINBARA joined Gregory Japan as sales manager. Kinbara recently worked at A&F as Gregory's brand manager. NAOKO KOJIMA has been hired as controller for Gregory Japan. Beginning in 2008, she served as the finance and operations manager of Lancel Japan, a division of the luxury goods holding company. Black Diamond recently acquired the Japanese distribution assets of Gregory from Kabushiki Kaisha A&F ("A&F"), the exclusive distributor for Gregory in Japan.
Following nine years as Director of Hospitality for Park City-based restaurant group Bill White Enterprises, LAWRENCE ACEDO joined The Sky Lodge as director of food and beverage, overseeing Easy Street Brasserie, Bar Boheme, Sky Blue and banquets. Executive Chef KEVIN DALEBOUT moved to The Sky Lodge from Deer Valley Resort’s Mariposa restaurant, consistently ranked Utah’s number one restaurant by Zagat Restaurant Guide. HILARY REITER joined The Sky Lodge as director of marketing & public relations. DAVID OLSON was hired as director of rooms. Olson recently worked at the Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas, Texas and the St. Regis, New York. MELISSA RENSCHLER was hired as human resource manager after spending several years in Vail, Colorado as director of human resources for the Club at Cordillera, a private, full-service golf resort community.
