GOV. GARY R. HERBERT has been named to the National Governors Association (NGA) Education and Workforce Committee. The Education and Workforce Committee addresses education (including early childhood, elementary and secondary education, and higher education), as well workforce development and labor. Members of the committee ensure the governors’ views are represented in the shaping of federal policy. Herbert was also recently tagged for the NGA’s Executive Committee.

SCOTT DUBOIS joined Wrona Law Firm in Park City. Prior to joining Wrona Law DuBois was a partner in the Salt Lake City office of Snell & Wilmer, a multi-state law firm of 400 attorneys. He has extensive experience representing corporations, small businesses and individuals in all aspects of business litigation and business law. He served as President of the Park City Bar Association from 2003 to 2004. He has also provided ongoing pro bono legal services to the Park City Foundation for the past several years and is active in the Rotary Club of Park City.

DOUG SCHEEL and TROY SCHEEL rejoined Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT (CBC) Salt Lake Office as Vice President and Senior Associate, respectively. Formerly with CBRE, the Scheel team specialized in land, industrial and investment property. Doug Scheel is a 20-year veteran in the commercial real estate industry who received Top Producer and Circle of Distinction Awards from CBC NRT in prior years. He also received the Outstanding Sales Achievement Award with CBRE in 2009, holds a broker’s license in both Utah and Idaho, and is an active member of NAIOP. Troy Scheel began his career at CBC NRT in 2003 and is a solid commercial agent in the market. He won Rookie of the Year Award in 2009 from CBRE, and is an active member of both NAIOP and CCIM.

The medical technology company ProLung named current board member CLARK A. CAMPBELL, Ph.D. as its new chairman, replacing WILLIAM A. FRESH, who continues as a director. Campbell steps into this role as the company makes preparations to market the ProLung Test, a new tool in the early detection of lung cancer. Campbell is a recognized authority in project management, CEO of OPPM International, and is the award winning author of the highly acclaimed, best-selling One-Page Project ManagerTM series of books published by John Wiley & Sons. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering, an MBA and a Ph.D. in Business Administration.

Richter7 hired SCOTT KONOPASEK as an assistant media planner. Before joining the Richter7 team full-time, Konopasek gained experience in media planning as an intern at Richter7. Konopasek attended Brigham Young University with an emphasis in advertising. At Richter7, he will continue to play a key role in the media planning and purchasing for its key clients.

Commerce Real Estate Solutions named SCOTT LOVELL as Regional Research Director. Lovell will head the acclaimed Commerce research department in delivering indispensable commercial real estate market research and analysis from all 10 offices throughout Utah, Washington, Nevada and Idaho. Lovell will manage the recruiting, developing and retaining of staff throughout the department and ensuring that the quality of the reports and data adhere to corporate standards. He will also lead the integration of a new proprietary research database that will span several western states, align Commerce branch research and upgrade the methodology of collecting and analyzing the data.

Nicholas & Company has promoted three vice presidents to executive vice presidents. DAVE ROBBINS, ED CARR and GEORGE ADONDAKIS have been promoted to executive vice presidents reporting to Peter Mouskondis, CEO and president. Robbins, executive vice president of supply chain, will oversee transportation, operations and procurement. George Adondakis, executive vice president of hr and legal, will continue leading Human Resources and will now have oversight with finance. Ed Carr, executive vice president of sales and marketing, will oversee all sales and marketing activities in addition to leading research and development of potential expansion markets.

ANNIE HEDBERG, a volunteer at South Davis Community Hospital (SDCH), was recognized by the Utah Health Care Association ( for volunteering efforts, as nominated for the honor by SDCH.  She was named as one of the Association’s five Volunteers of the Year during their 50th annual autumn convention held September 11, 2012. Hedberg is a leader in her work and community and an advocate for the ongoing publicity and outreach of the SDCH Pediatric Specialty Care Program. She has taken on the roles as a volunteer visiting the pediatrics unit, a volunteer member of the SDCH Foundation Board of Trustees, and volunteer coordinator of an annual charity golf tournament for SDCH

Coulam has over a decade of experience leading one of Utah’s fastest growing companies, Prosper Inc., where he was instrumental in creating and managing the company’s rapid growth. As a partner and key member of the executive team, he was able to help the company grow from the initial start-up stage to a multi-million dollar organization which has been recognized as one of the top companies in Utah.

Sahara, Inc. hired GREG JEPPESEN as vice president and chief financial officer. Jeppesen has worked in a variety of accounting and finance positions, specifically as an audit manager for numerous large corporations.  He brings more than 11 years of experience to Sahara.
