Off the Beaten Slope

One of the consistent concerns is avalanches. Backcountry skiing or mountaineering, for example, can take a person into areas where the snow pack is less stable and the danger of being buried alive is real.

Bradley says people often feel safer going with guides. It allows them to learn the correct techniques for doing these sports and lowers their risk for accidents. At the end of the day, it lets them maximize their winter sports experience the way they first imagined.

“They’re able to do things they wouldn’t have dreamed of doing if they hadn’t had an experienced guide to show them how to do it safely and efficiently,” Bradley says. “We don’t carry people to the top, but we make it possible.”
