New restaurants and retailers are popping up at Station Park in Farmington. Developer, CenterCal Properties, LLC, announced the opening of Café Zupas Restaurant, Panda Express, and Diamond Wireless, a premium Verizon Wireless retailer, all located north of the power center. In addition, Petco pet suppliers is now open near Sally Beauty and Chase Bank. These stores are all part of the premier shopping center development located near the intersection of I-15, Highway 89 and Legacy Parkway.
“We’re pleased to offer the community two very popular quick-serve restaurants in our standalone buildings near the commuter rail station,” said Debby LaMotte, new general manager for the open-air shopping center that has been in continuous construction since Harmons Grocery Stores broke ground in summer of 2010. “These two new restaurants are fast becoming popular lunch and dinnertime stops for locals who haven’t had many restaurant options in the area in the past.”
The first of several casual-dining family restaurants will soon follow in May with Utah’s first all American classic style diner Johnny Rockets opening near Cinemark Theatre and the new village center area of the development. Additional restaurants are slated to open in the area including Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana in May, followed in June by Sushi Monster and Parkstone Wood Kitchen, a new upscale steakhouse concept restaurant. A Subway Restaurant and a Roxberry Juice will also open next to Café Zupas and Panda Express, just in time for summer picnic weather.
“We’re very excited to unveil these terrific restaurants that are new to the area,” added LaMotte. “They will boarder the new Village and have been designed to take advantage of the fair weather, with retractable glass walls that will allow diners to soak in some sun and view our magnificent dancing show fountain.”
The fountain and gardens designed by Lifescapes International, the visionaries behind the gardens and fountains at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas and The Grove in Los Angeles, will be completed in June. The park also features a children’s play area and landscaping that includes mature trees and foliage.
“We’re very pleased at the progress of Station Park,” said Fred Bruning, CEO of CenterCal Properties. “Utah should be proud of the fact that Station Park is one of the largest retail projects in the country currently under construction. We’ve opened 400,000 square feet of retail space since August 2011, and we’re keeping the momentum going as we continue the construction of an additional 400,000 square feet in the Village Center.”
