Mountain America Introduces New Finance Tool

Mountain America Credit Union has introduced a new free service to help its members better manage their money and maintain financial stability, using just their web browser and Mountain America’s Online Branch. Called “My Money Manager,” it’s a personal financial management tool that collects members’ financial information from all their accounts at all their financial institutions and organizes it in one convenient location, allowing them to track expenses, create budgets, set goals and plan for the future.

“In My Money Manager, members get started with a suggested budget based on their spending, then every cent they earn and spend is categorized, graphed and charted so they can visualize and track spending habits, monitor net worth month to month, and view and categorize transactions,” said Rob Cummings, senior vice president of online and mobile banking for Mountain America. “This tool was designed with members in mind, showing them at a glance exactly how their money is being used. When people clearly see their big financial picture, they can make the best decisions that will help them achieve their financial dreams.”

My Money Manager also includes innovative graphs such as “bubble” budgets that quickly show spending patterns and areas of concern, better than traditional bar graphs can.
