South Jordan — Merit Medical Systems, Inc. has acquired the assets of Radial Assist, which include the RAD BOARD, RAD BOARD XTRA, RAD TRAC, and RAD REST devices. Financing for the $2.5 million transaction was provided by Wells Fargo Bank with an expansion of Merit’s existing credit facility.
Merit has also acquired from Datascope Corp. the SAFEGUARD Pressure Assisted Device, which assists in obtaining and maintaining hemostasis after a femoral procedure, and the AIR-BAND radial compression device, which is indicated to assist hemostasis of the radial artery puncture site while maintaining visibility. Financing for the transaction was provided by Wells Fargo Bank with an expansion of Merit’s existing credit facility by $40 million.
“We believe these products will assist us in our efforts to provide a complete offering for radial artery access procedures,” said Fred P. Lampropoulos, Merit’s Chairman and CEO. “These products provide the necessary procedure set-up and enhance patient comfort.”
