Little Giant Ladder Systems Releases New Ladder Design

Press Release

July 26, 2012

Little Giant Ladder Systems (www.littlegiantladders.com), maker of the original articulating ladder, is raising the industry bar for ladder safety standards with its innovative new Combo SXE combination and Lunar extension ladders. Bright House Networks (brighthouse.com) has worked with Little Giant in order to advocate increased safety to its technicians by providing better, more innovative products to its workforce.

“Little Giant continues to enhance its product line of fiberglass ladders with groundbreaking safety features to address the risks that working professionals often face,” said Ryan Moss, CEO, Little Giant Ladder Systems and vice president of the American Ladder Institute. “The new Combo SXE and Lunar ladder designs feature a significant reduction in weight, as well as increased versatility features that not only make them easy to use, but also significantly minimizes the possibility for injuries, particularly debilitating shoulder and back injuries from handling much heavier traditional ladders. With its commitment to safety in the workplace, Bright House Networks’ decision to outfit its employees with the Combo SXE and Lunar is a testament to its dedication to workplace safety.”

“Bright House Networks is committed not only to the well-being of our employees, but safety on the job site as well,” said Jeff Spackman, director of corporate safety, Bright House Networks. “The new Combo SXE and Lunar are lightweight and easy to use, which helps our technicians to more easily and safely complete their jobs. We are pleased to partner with Little Giant Ladder Systems to provide our technicians these new fiberglass ladders that help prevent workplace injuries, and ensure more secure work environments across our service areas.”

The Little Giant Combo SXE combination ladder delivers safety to working professionals by combining the versatility and safety of the original Little Giant Ladder System with the ability to work as both a 13-foot extension ladder and a multi-height stepladder that works on uneven surfaces, even stairs. Additionally, the Combo SXE features:

  • Easy-to-use, patented Rock Locks for easy telescopic adjustment.
  • Smooth, strong Triple-Lock Hinge for adjustment from storage to stepladder to extension.
  • Sturdy balance bar at the top of the ladder for an unmatched feeling of stability.

The Lunar extension ladder is a light industrial-grade fiberglass extension ladder. The Lunar includes Little Giant’s exclusive side-mounted double pulley system, which reduces the force needed to extend the fly section by half. The Lunar extension also features:
