Great Salt Lake Business Expo Held at South Towne Expo Center

The Great Salt Lake Business Expo, an event designed to help local businesses grow, is being held May 16 and 17 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the South Towne Expo Center in Sandy.

Nearly 200 Utah businesses will be on exhibit at the event. In addition, several of Utah’s Best of State winning restaurants will provide free samples. Door prizes include a MacBook Air laptop and other Apple giveaways from Simply Mac, and exhibitors are also planning giveaways. Keynote speeches and seminars will also be held. 

On May 16, a luncheon keynote panel discussion, “Social Media Conference 2.0,” will focus on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, business blogging and more. The noon presentation will be hosted by radio host, Rod Arquette and will include executives from ZAGG, Real Salt Lake, HireVue and Orange Soda.  

On May 17 during a noon luncheon, Deseret News/Media CEO Clark Gilbert will present a talk on “Innovating for the Future.” Also on May 17 at 2 p.m., Dr. Craig Manning, a performance coach, will speak on “Engineering High Performance.”

Organizers of the event estimate that 8,000 people will attend.
