In addition, Farrar acknowledges the process of obtaining funding for DualCap and developing it into a successful product wasn’t easy; it was hard work that required grueling hours and total dedication.
She says regardless of the business or the product under development, executives and employees alike have to enjoy the work and be willing to put forth the required effort.
“You have to have a good time or you couldn’t work hard,” Farrar says. “We love what we’re doing.”
Farrar also says that companies like hers that are seeking capital for new products would be wise to use angel groups. This method of obtaining capital, she says, could also be effective for starting new businesses themselves. Farrar and her team have a clear vision and an unrelenting desire to realize success. This passion helped carry Catheter Connections through challenging times during the early stages of the product’s development—a time when funding looked bleak.
